Our Mission:
Our Mission is to Strive to Breed Healthy Dogs with Wonderful Sound Temperaments to Bring joy and love into your life.We are a small Family Kennel who exclusively Breed English/ European bloodlines. Each dog brings its own Character to table and we are so excited to be part of your journey bringing a Golden or 2nd or 3rd into your world. So to do this with the aim of Freedom of hereditary defects we do all the health checks – We test hips and elbows, heart, eyes, Ict-A and Pra 1 & 2 DNA tests. All of these must be well and truly within our very strict standards before we consider using one of our dogs in the breeding program.
FAQ’S
What question’s should I be asking when looking for a Puppy?
The Breeder is a member of a National Canine Organisation eg: Dogs Australia (ANKC) and has a Kennel Prefix. (eg: Citsejam is our Kennel Prefix)
May be a member of a Golden Retriever Breed Club (GRCQ), have a good breed knowledge and are dedicated to improving the breed. (We are a member of Dogs Qld and GRCQ)
Parents meet the breed standard and have hip & elbow scores, current eye certificate and heart certificate & DNA testing. (This can be shown at any time)
Breeders welcome questions & will ask you a lot of questions, they are not just interested in a quick sale. (All questions welcomed)
Puppies are whelped in the home and raised in a clean, safe enviroment. (Puppies raised in our Lounge room)
The breeder will interview you when you visit them and watch how you interact with the adults and puppies. (Application, conversation and visit at 6 weeks)
You can meet the mother and possibly the sire. The breeder can discuss why this combination was chosen. (For our Breeding Program we use Fresh Semen and can provide plenty of pictures, information and testing certicates)
Puppies have toys and enrichment. The breeder may follow a raising puppy program like Puppy Culture and will have records of this. (We will loosely follow Puppy Culture with our own Flavour)
The breeder will know each individual puppy and be able to choose best match for the lifestyle of prospective owners. (This is an important part of the process)
Puppies are clean and well groomed. They are fed a quality diet. They are vet checked, wormed, vaccinated and microchipped. (Puppies are fed Royal Canin and proof of “above” will be provided at collection)
Puppies are happy to be handled, confident, well socialised and show no sign of anxiety or aggression. (This is an absolute must and why desensitization and enrichment is important from an early age)
Puppies come with a certified pedigree , detailed information pack (diet sheet, vaccination record, vet check, and puppy guide book. (Puppies will come home with a Puppy Pack and Pedigree will be posted once I receive them all back)

Breeder offers a lifetime of support and follows there State or Country’s legislation on the breeding and selling of dogs. (This is something that is important to us, having on going support for your puppy and also be Welcomed to our Citsejam Community to Share your Journey.)

No as we Personality Profile Families and Puppies to ensure each Puppy and Family are matched correctly.

Why Buy from an ANKC Breeder?
The Australian National Canine Council (ANKC) is the only internationally recognised registry able to issue certified pedigrees for purebred dogs. All ANKC breeders must abide the Code of Ethics outlined on the ANKC website. Where the primary focus is improving the breed and up holding high Breed Standards, only Healthy dogs with great Temperaments are part of a breeding program and making sure there welbeing is paramount.
Why do Pedigree Papers Matter?
Pedigree papers are proof that the dog is Purebred and evidence to prove it. These papers are looked at like a Birth Certificate essentially the family tree showing at least 3-5 generations back. These papers are issued through the State Body of which you need to be a member, in our case this is Dogs Qld. Before issuing these papers your State Body checks to make sure all relevant health testing for the Bitch and Sire has been done.
